Has anyone taken any of the webinars offered by Freedom Scientific? If so, did you find it useful?
I'm interested in the webinar for $75 that teaches Powerpoint 2013 with Jaws but don't want to pay $75 for some crappily produced hour and a half of people fumbling around trying to find their feet. I downloaded one of the free webinars once and was very disappointed in how unprofessional it was. I've downloaded a few of the newer ones and will give them a listen. I'm just wanting feedback from anyone who might have purchased some of the paid trainings.
I have not.
I understand these make it easy to find the information directly, but all that information is already in the manual.
You just need apply it to the specific application.
There is even a popular applications section in the manual.
There's a fair bit of fumbling around and you certainly don't get the full hour or
3's advertised teaching if you allow for introductions and questions at the end.
That said, you do get significantly more than is in the manual, and arguably the
webinars are cheaper than other interventions.
Hmm. I guess I'll give the free ones another try and then make a decision. As much as I'd love to say I'm the type who can learn well from reading a manual, I really wish there were a facility based training program around here for adaptive tech. I just do best in a classroom environment. Having said that, the $75 for 3 hours breaks down to $25 per hours which is less expensive than private lessons. I may just give it a go.
They do have traveling training siminars. Check the schedule.
